I tested a bunch of programs and gave up the thought of converting my files after I stumbled across Magix Movie Edit Pro Plus which can easily import and edit MP4, MTS (AVCHD), MOV, QuickTime Apple and other common (or less common) formats.
But recently I was looking for an ebook converter. I had these books as PDFs and wanted to convert them to .MOBI so I can read them with the Kindle app on my Android phone.
And that's how I discovered this cool website which lets you convert all kind of media files: audio, video, images, documents, ebooks and archives.
Check out Online-Convert.com and try it out.
I tested it by converting one small MP4 video to AVI and there was no visible quality loss. Also the AVI file was smaller in size than the original MP4.
Gotta say I'm impressed with the site, especially since the service is free.
So, if you're looking to convert your videos go over to Online-Convert.com and give it a spin.
I hope this helps. Cheers!
